Langley Gray has done it again. Another great cozy mystery!
The town of Roslyn is all abuzz when it is chosen as the location for a new movie. Nati has a front row seat in her little shop, Nati's Nose, a perfume shop she owns and runs. Her boyfriend, Owen, a local firefighter is always there to help her out. An actress, Juno Bell, has been out of the limelight for a while, and is set to make a comeback with this movie. Nati gets a chance to meet her when she comes into her shop asking for a signature perfume just for her. The meeting goes well, and Juno seems impressed with her services.
The next day, Nati is flying high thinking about her meeting with Juno. The movie set is buzzing with activity when suddenly they can't seem to locate Juno. Juno's makeup artist comes running out of her trailer after finding her stabbed to death. The local police ask Nati to help keep an eye out for clues as to who might have done this. She has a reputation as an amateur detective. With the help of Owen and her dog Sal, can Nati expose the killer before she becomes a victim herself?
I truly love this series. I have not been disappointed. The plot and characters are well thought out and the location is the perfect setting for cozy mysteries. I really enjoy the relationship between Owen and Nati and I look forward to seeing where their adventures will be taking them next. Nati owns a perfumery and I love the idea that she can take scents and come up with a unique creation specific for each person. It's very obvious that Langley did a lot of research on the topic of perfumes and how they are concocted. All the little details make the story that much richer.
